For a formative assessment (non-graded) we had to design the back of a tri-fold brochure. Last time I did Flirt Fashion I used images of my friend but I'm a shit photographer and acknowledge that they were really crap quality so I bought these images from [link] it's a great site for royalty free images seriously check it out. It's not as expensive as sites like gettyimages and istoke and even bigstockphoto.com has gone up in price argh so now they are my favourite stock image site.

I like the embellishments and the font. Be careful using that font for your body text though...it will get difficult to read. Helvetica Neue is always a good choice when your subject is fashion.

my teacher who runs her own firm told me to change the font because the font I was using wasn't flairey enough for what it was. She said it was okay to have a font with a bit of a twirl because in a brochure like this there would be like no text. apart from whats on the back. also the font is pretty easy to read I just don't like putting my stuff on da at full size. There is a lot of spacing between the letters and lines too which makes it quite easy on the eye ^_^

thanks for the critique though

heh, that's odd... well it always depends on who the teacher is and what their opinions are. Full size is always nicer to look at :)

there are a lot of curly fonts I wouldn't even look to use. This one looks alright at size 14 or larger which it is set as due to the spacing. Non of the standard fonts looked nice on the pamphlet it made it look too corporate and clean. Which wasn't really the look we were trying to achieve I think it also depends on what look you want in the end

Oooh. I like it. The images may be stock, but they fit in perfectly with the lay out of the brochure. I'm curious, did you design the brochure to fit around the images, or did you get the images to perfectly blend with the brochure?
